The new software can't find any of my subscribed-for Jeppesen terminal charts that should have been on the DVD so none of the airports on the map any longer have the Jeppesen VFR plates. For desk use, Flitestar is really the only relevant product. I hope I got this right, more or less. I now have an airport directory of 13, airports worldwide.

In Jeppview 3, the user interface is very similar to Flitestar and Flitedeck is bundled with it. The Jepp stuff does have softwarr awkward user interface but if you want to see the ultimate example of poor design look at Jepp Flitedeck. Just because I am a Jepp dealer does not mean I think all their products are the dogs dangly bits. I chose not to install the weather software on the basis that I can't get XM reception in the UK and that may be why my installation doesn't work whilst the other Peter's installation does.

What is it about Jeppesen that means that they can operate almost entirely without reference to their customers' dissatisfaction? I work with software all the time so it's easy for me. Tue Feb 21, Only new JeppView users must order the Initial Software once!

JeppView Program is a software program developed by Jeppesen. Sun Feb 19, I received mine today to upgrade me from Jeppview 3 to Jeppview for Windows 4. Flitemap is exactly identical to Flitestar but has a GPS input so you can get a moving map over the planned route etc. Wed Mar 22, No longer will pilots have to hand-file paper revisions in their manuals.
